Microblading & More ā Covid-19 Policy
I am so excited to be able to open my cabin doors again and welcome you all back with open arms after such an uncertain period in all of our lives.
Unfortunately, not everything can be the same as it was before and we will all have to adapt to the ānew normalā. It is of paramount importance though that I take extra care and put processes in place to protect both my clients and myself from contracting the virus. I need to ensure more than ever now that I am providing safe treatments in a safe environment.
In view of the treatments which I offer, I have always worked to the highest standards of cleanliness and have always worn full PPE. The only change will be the addition of a visor, as well as my face mask, apron and gloves. I have also put policies in place to ensure the cabin is a safe and clean environment for everyone.
Over the lockdown period I have undertaken several courses to ensure I am fully aware of any additional requirements to my already high level of routine infection control, health and safety measures, risk assessment and professional standards. My certificates for these are available if you would like to see them.
When putting in place any changes to my procedures, I have been following the government guidelines. Naturally though, as new evidence emerges about Covid-19, government advice may change.Ā My policy will therefore be regularly reviewed and updated accordingly.
I would like it to be clear that any procedures I have put in place are there only to manage risk, not to completely eliminate any risk of you contracting the virus.
Please can I ask you to work with me so we can help slow the spread of the virus and stay alert.
Currently the only treatments on my list which I will not be offering are lip procedures. I will let you know as soon as I am happy to recommence these.
With all appointments though I will be asking you to do the following:
- Please come alone to your appointment
- Please reschedule your appointment if you are unwell, especially if you have symptoms of coughing, fever, breathlessness or loss of taste and smell
- I will email you a Covid-19 questionnaire before your appointment. Please read this carefully and return it to me so I can decide if your treatment can proceed
- Where possible I will also email you information regarding your treatment and the required aftercare, this avoids the risk associated with paperwork being given on the day
- Please arrive to your appointment on time, not early or late as this poses the risk of you meeting another client
- There is no waiting area and I am unable to provide you with any refreshments at this time
- When you arrive, telephone me and I will come and collect you. Before I bring you through the gate to the cabin, I will take your temperature
- On arrival at the cabin I will request that you either was your hands, or use the sanitizer provided
- Please remove your shoes on entering the cabin and place them in the box provided. This will be sanitized between each client
- The same applies to any belongings you have with you. They will need to be put in the box, or on a tray, again both of which will be thoroughly sanitized
- I will be wearing full PPE, but I will still expect you to wear a facemask while in the cabin. Please bring this with you, I do have some available if you forget yours. I will not be offended if you choose to wear disposable gloves during your appointment
- My uniform will be washed at the end of each day and my PPE will be changed between each client
- As far as is possible, all my equipment is pre sterilized, single use, so protecting you totally from the risk of cross infection
- All disposable items used during your treatment will be bagged and safely removed from the treatment area between each client
- The treatment area will be fully cleaned between each client, including door handles and any hard surfaces
- Toilet facilities will still be available if needed, this will be cleaned after each use and there is a touch free soap dispenser and paper towels for your use. Please shut the toilet lid before flushing
- To avoid handling cash, please can you pay for your treatment in advance by bank transfer. If you wish to pay by cash on the day, please ensure you have the correct money as I will not be able to provide change. I will have a separate box for cash to be put into so I do not have to touch it
I understand that there are many changes to the way in which your treatment will be carried out. However, these changes are unavoidable if we are to keep each other safe. I will try my best though to ensure your treatment is still as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
I canāt wait to see you all again and I hope my revised procedures give you confidence that you will be safe in my hands. I will send you a copy of my procedures when you book your appointment.
